Well, the elements took umbrage on our plans for this evening, so we decided to postpone Mabon and such until next Thursday 9/27 (meet in SU386 at 7PM). Bring the stuff you would have brought tonight: flashlight, food, drink, disco balls, etc.

Therefore, in lieu of disappearing into the woods, we actually had a productive business meeting and, besides cleaning out the locker, put together a schedule for the semester:

Sept. 27: Mabon Circle
Oct. 4: "Science vs. Magic" Discussion
Oct. 11: "History of Magic" Lecture by Nate
Oct. 18: Candle-making
Oct. 25: Divination Nite - Activities and Discussion
Nov. 1: Samhain Feast and such
[The following weekend (11/2 - 11/4) sometime: tentative camping somewhere. Or something.]
Nov. 8: Sewing Nite
Nov. 15: Storytelling Nite
Nov. 22: THANKSGIVING / NO MEETING (note change in date from 11/29)
Nov. 29: Preliminary Yule and Beltane planning meeting (note change in date from 11/22)
Dec. 6: "Religious Round Table" Discussion with other campus religious organizations
Dec. 13: Probable Emergency Yule planning meeting
[YULE, probably somewhere around the end of exams and/or Dec. 21st]

Some optional "Friday Night PODS" activities are still under consideration, such as a Brew Night (mead making, etc.), Astronomy Night, and other random stuff. So stay tuned.

Other business included discussing more about the budget, which now consists of a CD player and "maybe some other stuff like drums and wool". Mark proposed a plan to end the crisis in Afghanistan: trade Bush for Bin Laden. There was also Mark's naturalized Latin American Muppet named Jorge (pronounced George, if you were curious), but we won't discuss that here.

Oh, and if you're not getting the minutes, let me know so I can put you on the list. Of course, if you ARE getting the minutes and do not wish to, let me know that, too. If, for whatever reason, you are happy with the present minute-distribution arrangement, feel free to abstain from responding. Thanks!

Well, all, have a great week and hope to see you next time
